  • Do I need extra provincial registration?
    Every federal corporation MUST registration at least one province (typically where its head office is located). Without a provincial registration, the federal corporation is NOT complete and can not operate. Additionally, it cannot open a bank account without this provincial registration.

This is applicable only for business registration documents. For Canada Revenue Agency accounts, CRA may take additional time.
  • How fast can I get documents?
    For Federal corporation, a numbered company can be ready in 2 business hours. You will get documents in email. A named company normally takes 1 business day since it has extra requirement of getting name approval. CRA business number can be ready in 2 Business hours as well, but for other CRA accounts such as GST, payroll, Tax ID, import & export account, CRA authority may take additional time.
  • How fast can I get documents?
    For BC corporation, a numbered company can be ready in 2 business hours. You will get documents in email. A named company can be ready in 1 business day, if you choose priority queue for name approval. CRA business number can be ready in 2 business hours as well, but for other CRA accounts such as GST, payroll, Tax ID, import & export account, CRA authority may take additional time.
  • What is BC Name Approval Queue?
    For a BC named corporation, name approval from the BC Government is REQUIRED. The government has two queues for processing name approvals. In the Priority Queue, it typically takes 1 business day, whereas in the Regular Queue, the process usually takes around 3 weeks.
  • What is NUANS Report?
    For a named corporation, a valid NUANS report is required. This report is submitted to the government to facilitate the name approval process.
  • Do I need Minutebook?
    A Minute Book is a corporate legal document prepared by a corporate lawyer and is MANDATORY according to the Corporation Act. The Minute Book includes bylaws, share structure, and other legal sections. It is REQUIRED to open a bank account, and without it, a corporation is not fully established. Additionally, the Minute Book must be presented during a corporation audit.
  • What is share certificates?
    Share certificates serve as the legal and official proof of ownership of corporation. They are necessary for any official purposes, such as banking, contracts, and mortgages. It's an highly recommended items if you have more than one shareholder. We will also provide some blanks certificates as well which could be used in future in case you add any other person (such as spouse, child, friend) as shareholder.
  • What are mandatory?
    Minute Book, Corporate Tax ID, HST Account, Payroll account and Initial Returns are mandatory for every corporation. Each corporation must have a corporate tax ID, just like the SIN number for an individual. Same applicable for HST & Payroll account. Initial Return is a mandatory filing MUST be done for every new corporation. Failure to file these mandatory documents may result in the corporation being considered NULL & VOID.
  • Why need payroll account?
    Payroll account applicable in all cases. Even if you do not have employee, your own salary must be processed through payroll system. Please note, this is not the process your payroll, but this is the initial set up of payroll account with CRA which is essential for processing payroll system.
  • Do I need import export account?
    You need import export account only if you plan to export or import from/to out side of Canada. Please note that only physical items (not services) fall under export or import regulations. If you choose, we will register this account for you and provide you with the account number.
  • What is WSIB/WCB/WSB?
    WSB stand for Workplace Safety Board registration. If your corporation plan to have employees now or in future, it MUST register with the Board. We will handle the registration, provide you with the account number, and connect you with the appropriate authority. Please note, it does not cost monthly premium fees, rather authority will advise on your eligibility of free program or fees.
  • What is corporate seal?
    A company seal is a protection against fraudulent activity. It holds legal value (by default defends) in case anybody create false docs or make false loan in your company name. It's highly recommended if your company has frequent transactions or provide receipt, invoices. Additionally, a seal is necessary when applying for loans, mortgages, employment contracts, service contracts, or any sub-contracts.
